half of those didn't happen while at VT...a couple were basketball players under Ricky Stokes...that's a little bit of a stretch when you're basically including any time any person at VT gets into trouble when comparing football programs...i don't think Beamer is responsible for his kids after they leave the program...nor is Fulmer for his
I'm not including anything. It was a Washington Post story by Tony Kornheiser that I c&p'ed. It's easy to identify basketball from football and before and after incidents with VT football players. All you have to do is look at how many have the phrase or something similar of "and then allowed to re-enroll and rejoin the football team". I said above, there's this and more at every university in the country. Nobody is exempt from it and banging on a pot head kid is the least of my worries if I see a list like that or many others.

understandably so though...some UT fans, or (fill in the blank) fans are quick to point out anytime a VT player runs a stop sign
It happens with everyone from everywhere. I'd much rather a kid be smoking pot than drinking to be honest with you. At least or more than likely anyway, he's not going to kill someone. I could care less what happens at other schools. Unless it's some kind of violence thing, it never catches my attention. The only time it's brought up by myself, is when I fall into the trap of responding and use it as retaliation.

And I remember a post piled high with [censored] the other day over a player (Friday) from VT getting in a fight. I hadn't mentioned Coker before that. I know that players are going to get in trouble, heck I was young once myself and enjoyed slinging a few back and did worse than that. But if every time a VT player gets a parking ticket it results in a 21 page thread then you can't but expect to have it thrown back in your face when the shoe is on the other foot.

btw... After going back and looking at that post, all of the comments were from your Hurricane buddies, a Clemson fan, and a FSU fan. Until UTVols2 made a couple posts toward the end about a castrated turkey. So, how exactly is that open season on Coker?
I wasn't singleing you out as a participant just using the word "you" in a general term. FWIW I'd venture to guess there isn't a team in the US who doesn't have a player who has done coke, smoked dope, drank, or gotten into a fight or worse. But it's much easier to point to other teams for most and a blind eye toward your on. After the Marcus ordeal I'd actually gotten to the point of disgust with the VT program. I do think that Beamer AND Fulmer are attempting to go to great lengths to recover the face of their programs.
